Today started out early. 7 a.m. to be precise. Started by making a batch of chocolate chip cookies. While the cookies were baking, cleaned up the house. We are having a screening at our house of a movie that my husband and several of our friends were in called “The Girl in the Crawl Space”. This screenplay was written by J., who is a Ball State University Alumni and winner of a David Letterman Scholarship back in the 90’s.
Mid afternoon me, my husband and a friend went out to lunch at Mr. Mouse in Yorktown, Indiana. The guys had burgers and me, a grilled chicken sandwich. Figured we had better eat since we were only serving cookies, popcorn, beer, wine and soda.
The guests started arriving at 6:30 p.m. and the movie showing started at 8:00 p.m. It was exciting to see J.’s film come to fruition and to also see my husband and friends on the big screen. OK, maybe not as big of a screen as in the movie theaters, but still pretty big! The film is a psychological thriller and really good, if I must say so myself. About 20 friends came for the showing along with cast members. There was a question and answer session after the showing and lots of questions were asked.
The party broke up around 11:00 p.m. I was ready. After cleaning up, in bed by midnight. It was a great day.
